:: Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss Stick ::

:: Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss Stick 3D Super Colour Volume Lip ::

Today's review is on Soap and Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker gloss stick. There are three different colours in the range, Plum Jam (red) Nudist (nude) and Fushia-Ristic (orangey colour in the tube but I expect it comes out differently on the lips).

The gloss stick I have from this range is Plum Jam so that's the one I will be speaking more about today.

 Lets start with the packaging.  These gloss sticks come in black tubes which you can wind up to get more product. This makes them quick and easy to use. They are a little wider than other lip balms/glosses on the market but they aren't too chunky so they should slip into your makeup bag pretty easily. The packaging actually makes me think of mascara more than lip gloss stick.

The product is already formulated into a point for more precise application so it's easy to apply your lips with the balm without going outside the lines of the lips. The product itself is a really nice consistency. It isn't thick or sticky at all and it feels really nice on the lips. It is also really glossy so your lips have a lovely shine to them. This makes this product more of a lip balm/gloss combo.

As for the colour... The colour of plum jam is gorgeous. On first application the balm goes on pretty sheer but you can definitely see some colour. You can them build in this this adding more of the product to create a more intense colour which makes this lip gloss stick pretty versatile.

This gloss stick isn't particularly long wearing but its easy application means it isn't a chore to re-apply, you can even do it without a mirror if your brave enough because of the initial sheer consistency.

I've worn this product almost everyday since I bought it and I really love it! I would definitely buy it again, although I'm not too sure if I would purchase any other colours in the range, I don't think they would suit me very well.

This product is available at Boots for £6.
Has anyone else tried these gorgeous Soap and Glory lip gloss sticks?

Rating: 5/5

:: Minty Fresh Lips ::

:: Minty Fresh Lips ::

Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas.  Over the next few weeks I will do some posts on the gifts I got but today i'm going to to a review on a product I bought recently.

As I mentioned in an earlier post I have been suffering with dry lips lately. That's why, when I was in Lush a couple of weeks ago the product which caught my eye was their lip scrubs.

Four different flavours are available; Mint Chocolate Chip, Bubblegum, Sweet (which is chocolate) and Popcorn.  I love the colour of the Bubblegum one as it is bright pink but the Mint one smells so fresh that's the one I decided to go for in the end.

The size of the pot is perfect for me, I can easily pop it in my makeup bag or handbag and find it easily so you can take with you want to. Personally, I haven't felt the need to use this product more than once a day which I do in the morning before I apply my lipstick/gloss.

The Mint Julips lip scrub smells gorgeous.  As soon as you take the lid off it smells just like After Eights.  It really does tempt you to eat it!!  The colour is also pretty inviting, its a very pale golden colour which sparkles a little when the sugar crystals catch the light.

A downside is that this product is very dry so it's pretty hard to get out of the pot without it going everywhere so you have to be careful when using it but it really is worth it.   The pot is full to the brim with the lip exfoliator and as you only need to use a tiny bit at a time you you definitely get your money's worth.

You use this product by gently rubbing a little over your lips. Afterwards you can either wipe it off (I use a wipe) or eat it.  I prefer not to eat it as the purpose of the product is to remove dead skin etc and the thought of then knowingly eating it grosses me out!

Immediately after using this product you'll notice a difference in your lips - Mine are sooo silky smooth! It's great because it really primes your lips for your lipstick application.

I really love that Lush products are all handmade and animal friendly.  It makes them feel luxurious when you use them.  This particular product is definitely one which will be a permanent item in my makeup bag!

If you want to pick up one of these amazing lip scrubs you can get them at Lush for £5.25.

Has anyone else tried these Lush Lip scrubs?
