Maybelline Color Tattoo Review

Maybelline Color Tattoo

Hello Everyone!

I hope you're all well.  Regular readers of my blog would have noticed that I have already done a review post one of the Maybelline Color Tattoo's (read the review on Pink Gold here) but since, I have bought three more so I decided to do another review of them so I could share the additional shades I bought with you.

So the new Color Tattoo's I bought are, On and On Bronze, Eternal Gold and Light in Purple:

Maybelline Color Tattoo

These are all really beautiful colours and are very pigmented.  They also look exactly the same on your lid as they do in the pan so you can get a really good idea of the look you're going to get with them.. there aren't any nasty surprises!  You also get loads of product which would take an absolute age to get through so they are great value for money.

The consistency of each colour is soft and creamy but I have found that the application and the amount you can blend them differs.  I have found that Pink Gold and Eternal Gold are slightly harder to work with as they dry a little quicker and do not cover the lid as evenly as Light in Purple and On and On Bronze.  These latter two colours are very blendable and can be applied onto your lid beautifully and quickly with only your fingers.  Pink Gold and Eternal Gold, however, apply a little more patchy.

I've had a play around with all of these colours for a while and I have found that On and On Bronze and Light in Purple are brilliant for all over lid colours or blended into the crease whereas Pink Gold and Eternal Gold look amazing in your inner corner to add an extra flash of colour and lighten your eyes, making them bigger.

The staying power of all three colours is incredible.  Wherever you have applied it on your eye or underneath they stay in place all day without primer and do not crease at all.  I can't quite get over how good they are! The swatches I took for this post, for example weren't impossible to get off but they did take quite a lot of scrubbing when using only water and a little soap.  When using makeup remover they come off pretty easily.

I really like the Maybelline Color Tattoo's and I would even go as far as saying they are comparable to the MAC Paint Pots but of course at a fraction of the price.  I can't wait for more shades to become available in the UK.

The Maybelline Color Tattoo's are available at Superdrug for £4.99 each.

  2. I love these, I have quite a few of them now. I don't think I could pick a favourite, though I probably use Permanent Taupe the most because it's so easy during the day :) xx
